International Book Town Festival 2006

The next International Book Town Festival 2006 is arranged in Fjærland, 23 til 25 June, together with the annual book night. This year, the festival was arranged in Wigtown (Skotland) in the end of May, with participans from the european book towns. The delegation from Fjærland was led by the mayor of the Sogndal municipality, Karen Marie Hjelmeseter, who was handed over a large relay race baton, made of a juniper tree’s wood, for the next festival. The baton will be stored in a central place in the book town. The Norwegian Book Town in Fjærland is also represented in the board of The International Organisation of book towns.
