Torrential half price Sunday
This year, as last year, The Norwegian Booktown marked the end of the summer season by putting almost all secondhand books up for sale at half price. The adverse weather this Sunday 27 September was probably partly to blame for less than usual customer attendance, but there will be other chances: The sales Sunday has proven to be a successful event, and we will surely hold another event toward the end of next summer season as well. A lucky few got the chance to hear booktown veteran Claus Kvamme share some of his knowledge about Jack London in an interesting lecture at our cafe, Kaffistova.
And what now? Well, as quite a number of books were sold on the sales Sunday, we now have more spacious bookshelves to fill during winter. And when we open again in May, there will be plenty of new secondhand books to whet your literary apetite. And you can always use our webshop in the meantime!
